Christmas Decoration Application for Licensees

If you're a licensees planning to decorate your business location for Christmas, use this form to request permission.

The Grand Bahama Port Authority Limited is seeking licensed businesses in the Port Area who are interested in competing in the annual "Deck The Roundabouts" competition. All interested businesses can obtain apply below.

Criteria

Each applicant's visual presentation will be judged in accordance with the categories below:

  1. STRENGTH OF OVERALL PRESENTATION (25 POINTS)
    1. Cohesive decorative expression
    2. Clear understanding of materials to be use
  2. EXPERIENCE WITH SIMILAR LARGE SCALE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS (25 POINTS)
    1. Quality and scale of decoration design
  3. INNOVATIVE, CREATIVE APPROACH TO DECORATION DESIGN (20 POINTS)
    1. Visual presentation
  4. BEST USE OF SPACE WITHIN THE ROUNDABOUT (15 POINTS)
  5. BEST CHRISTMAS THEME (15 POINTS)

All interested applicants will be required to present a visual presentation of the proposed decorations.
Presentations will be held the last week of August (29th - 31st 2022). At this time the scale of decorations and use of roundabout space should be depicted in the presentation. The initial entries will be reduced to a short list of four (4) applicants who will compete for total prize winnings of $20,000.

I authorize The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (“GBPA”) to undertake any search or obtain any personal, financial, business, or other information from any third party source, agency, organization, or institution which may be required for the verification of the information provided herein and further authorize the third party source, agency, organization or institution to provide such information to GBPA. I acknowledge and confirm that the information provided by me on this Application Form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability. I ALSO CONFIRM THAT NEITHER I NOR ANY OF MY AFFILIATES/ASSOCIATES HAVE BEEN CONVICTED OF A CRIMINAL OFFENCE IN ANY COUNTRY WITHIN THE LAST FIVE (5) YEARS. I understand and accept that foregoing information is being reviewed by GBPA in order to process my application for this competition and that any false or untrue statement or information may result in the cancellation of my application.
